Cora Laverna Truax

Cora Laverna Truax, 74, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at the Weirton Medical Center. Born August 17, 1930 in Eldersville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Albert John Clemens and Luda Honer Flowers. Cora was also preceded in death by her husband Theodore Truax on October 24, 2000 and brother Albert Melvin Clemens. Cora was a homemaker and a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. Cora’s survivors include her sons Ted Truax and his wife Nekoa of New Cumberland, WV, Michael Truax, Mark Truax and Brian Truax; daughter Sharon Flinn and her husband Keith all of Weirton; brother Thomas Flowers of Steubenville, OH; sister Gladys Allen of Washington, PA; grandchildren Carl Anderson, Sr. and his wife Nikki, Patricia Gontas and her husband Brian, Kristopher Truax, Desiree’ Flinn, Keith Truax and Danielle Flinn and 3 great-grandchildren, Carl Anderson, Jr., Nathan Anderson and Eston Anderson. The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held from 11AM until the 12PM funeral service Friday at the Weirton Heights Church of Christ with Minister Steven P. Smithbauer presiding.
