cynthia salopek

Cynthia (Cindee) Lee Salopek, 71, of Weirton passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 7th, 2023, surrounded by family.

Born March 13th, 1952, in Weirton, WV, Cindee was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Robb) Raveaux. She was also pre-deceased by her brother-in-law, Gary Shultz, and her nephew, Mark Konchar.

With 30 years of service, Cindee retired at Weirton Steel where she worked as a personnel analyst. She attended Weirton Heights Memorial Baptist Church and was a graduate of Weir High School, Class of 1970.

She lived her life for her daughter and granddaughter, endlessly proud of them both. Cindee brought humor and levity to every situation and the memories she created for her family members will forever be cherished.

Cindee was a “mom” to many. She had a kind heart and was always open and willing to provide support in whatever way needed to friends and family alike. She loved reading, collecting antiques, and all things pink.

Cindee is survived by her daughter, Shauna Musulin, her son-in-law, Michael, and granddaughter, Milauna; her sisters, Cathie Shultz of Bergholz, OH, and Trudy (Stuart) Scarr of Skaneateles, NY; her brother, Bradley (Judy) Raveaux of New Cumberland; her nieces April Harbert, Rachael Scarr; and her nephews David and Jeff Raveaux, Michael Shultz, and Tanner Scarr.

Friends are invited to visit with Cindee’s family on Sunday, December 10, from 1 pm to 4 pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. where funeral services will be held at 11 am Monday, December 11.

Entombment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Rev Bill Stout will officiate.
