Dale A. Biesecker of Follansbee passed away peacefully at the Wellsburg Healthcare Center on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was eighty-six years old.
Born in the Bronx, NY., on April 18, 1937, Dale was one of two born to Carl Biesecker and Priscilla Boiaroff Biesecker Early.
Dale graduated from Allegheny High School in 1954 and went on to further his education at Duquesne University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management in 1964. He worked throughout his career as the Human Resource Director in healthcare for multiple hospitals, including Weirton Medical Center until his retirement from there in 1999. Although his background was in business, he found true joy in his paintings, which were so well known throughout the tri-state area.
Dale was a member of the Starkdale Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Steubenville Art Association, and the Weirton Arts Council.
Dale genuinely loved the Big-Band Era, his father, although quite an accomplished musician himself, had a life-changing influence on Dale, introducing him to the likes of Glenn Miller, Gene Krupa, and many other jazz greats.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents; mother-in-law, Doris White, and his father-in-law, James White, Sr.
Surviving Dale to cherish his memory with love and admiration is his wife Patricia Biesecker of Follansbee, whom he married on December 6, 1974, his son David (Rachael) Biesecker of Morgantown, a granddaughter Abigail Biesecker who was the “Apple of his Eye,” also of Morgantown, sister, Phyllis (Arthur) Bianculli of Pittsburgh, eight nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and his two Westies, Boudreaux, and Sweet Pea.

So very sorry for your loss. Marvin and I wish you peace.
So long my friend. It was a good ride and I was blessed to have shared a part of it with you! See you later!
Love and prayers for Pat and David.
Pat, David, Rachael and family. Our deepest condolences and sympathies as we celebrate the life of Dale. I’m not sure how much you all know it but Dale and I would keep up with each other from time to time and I enjoyed our interactions over the years even when he was just checking in on me. Having known Dale since Dave and I were young soccer players I will never forget the kindness and my friendship with Dale. Thank you all for sharing a small part of him with all of us. Our thoughts are with you all.
