Daniel Joseph "Dan" Sullivan, 61, of Coraopolis, PA, died Saturday October 15, 2016, at his home after a battle with prostate cancer. Born on November 26, 1954 in San Antonio, TX, Dan was a son of Adella May Howell Sullivan of San Antonio, TX, and the late Thomas Patrick Sullivan. Dan was educated in the San Antonio Area, where he was a student at Mount Sacred Heart School, Antonian College Preparatory High School, and the San Antonio College. Very respected in the field of heavy hauling, rigging and construction, Dan was very fortunate to spend his entire career working in a field that he truly loved. At the time of his passing, Dan was the Manager of Projects for Supor Heavy Haul, LLC in Kearny N.J. , where he was assigned the responsibility to haul the US Airway Airbus A 320 , that landed in the Hudson River piloted by Captain Sullenberger. Dan and his team flawlessly hauled the plane from a secure storage facility in Kearny New Jersey to the Carolinas Aviation Museum in Charlotte, NC. Dan was a catholic, attending several area churches and often praying to the Blessed Virgin Mary. With his love of the outdoors, if was very fitting that he was a member of the NRA and the Coraopolis Gun Club. Dan loved to fish and ride his Harley Davidson. He will always be remembered for meticulous ways and his impeccable style. Surviving in addition to his mother, is the love of his life, Cynthia Conchel Sullivan, whom he met in March of 2004 and married on November 20, 2004; a daughter, Jennifer Marie Woody (Aaron) of Slaton, TX; a son, Christopher Sullivan of Lubbock, TX; a; a sister, Mary Sullivan of San Antonio, TX; and two grandchildren, Rylan and Bostyn Woody. I have a family obligation on Wednesday, but my thoughts & prayers are with you. I watched the beautiful video & the two of you were truly a match made in heaven. It was a privilege for me to have met your wonderful Dan. God Bless you.

  7. I want to express my sincerest sympathy to the Sullivan family because of losing Dan way too soon in death. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God Jehovah (Psalms 83:18) understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: “Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40 and John 11:25) Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address; myranj@centurytel.net
