Dann Gregory Barnhart, 63, of Weirton, passed away Monday, June 13, 2011 at his home. Born August 5, 1947 in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of Ada Underwood Barnhart of Weirton and the late Lester Barnhart. With 30 years of service, Dann retired from Weirton Steel. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Weirton, ABATE of West Virginia Motorcycle Organization and the WSX 25-Year Club. Dann never turned down an opportunity to ride his Harley Davidson. In addition to his mother, Dann is survived by his daughters Nikki Bennett and her husband Dan of Dayton, OH and Jennifer Hasenstab and her husband Karl of Gahanna, OH; sister Jacqueline Cox of Columbia, SC; two granddaughters Emma and Ella Hasenstab; nephews Randy and Luke Horn; several cousins and many friends. Also surviving is his longtime friend and companion Sheila Allas of Weirton, who took full care and responsibility during his long illness. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Thursday, at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. A memorial service will be held 11 AM Friday at the First Christian Church, 3252 Main Street, Weirton, WV.   1. Dann has brought so much help and so many happy times into my life. I will deeply miss him. My heart goes out to all of the family.

  2. Whenever I saw Dann it brightened my day. His smile was infectious and I couldn’t help but laugh…with him and at him! I really loved that man. God bless Sheila and his family.

  5. To Dnn’s Family I knew Danny for 60 years. I remember him as a little kid. We were neighbors and shared many happy times together. My wife attended high school with him and always has had great memories of the happy go lucky kid. Rest in peace God has a new angel to watch over us.

Please except my deepest sympathy to the Family of Dan..He was a very good friend of mine and also one of my clients..I cut Dans hair for a few years now..He was a Great and adorable man..always thinking about everyone else and always tryin to help me with any problems I had..I loved him very much and will miss him dearly..May god give you peace in your hearts and help you to share the good memories you all had with Dan..He is our little angle watchin over us now and is in a better place…He struggled so much and a brave man he was threw such a terrible time in his life..God bless all of you who loved and was a part of Dan’s life!
