david doty
David Doty, a dependable hard worker, passed away in his home on Monday, November 23, 2020. He was 59 years old. Dave was born on February 5, 1961, to Donald Lee and Patricia Ann Dragonir Doty. He grew up in Follansbee, WV. Dave worked for his best friend, Mario T. Pipinos at the Wine and Beverage Distributor where he drove the forklift and loaded the delivery trucks for many years. Most recently David moved to Huntsville, Alabama to be with his two brothers Dale and Darryl. They helped him find employment with L & L Lumber, Inc. Dave loved working there and his co-workers and boss loved David and his work ethic. He was proud to be a lumber bander at L & L Lumber and he appreciated how he was treated by Jim and Peggy. He kept his home immaculate and took pride in everything he owned. David would often say what was on his mind. When he tried to get his point across he would end his sentences with his famous words “right or wrong”. He could argue his unique point of view better than a Philadelphia lawyer. A legend, Dave leaves you with his advice "the more you do today the less you have to do tomorrow." In his free time, Dave enjoyed painting and drinking a few cold ones. If you had the opportunity to meet Dave, you will never forget him. Dave Doty stories will be eternal. Dave was preceded in death by his brother Donald Doty. David is survived by his mother, Patricia Ann Doty; his two sons, David, and Joshua Doty; his daughter, Tiffany Lucas; his brothers, Dale and Darryl Doty; and his sister, Darla Moore; and his grandchildren. Services for David will be held at a later date. Arrangements are in the care of the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Share tributes and memories at www.grecohertnick.com

  1. David came into my life when I was a first year teacher in Wellsburg. The comment that once you met David you would never forget him. He was such a tiny one but I remember him well. I am happy that he had such a good life and yet saddened that he is gone so soon. To his family and friends my deepest sympathy. David–fly with the angels and rest in peace. Linda Kotur Mossgrove
