David Droppleman, 49, of New Cumberland, died Monday, July 12, 2004 at the Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling. Born September 7, 1954 in Weirton, he is the son of Helen Stark Droppleman and the late George Droppleman who passed away July 2, 1991. For 29 years, David worked in construction for Weirton Steel. He was a member of the WSX 25-Year Club and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his brothers Lawrence Droppleman and his wife Sharon and George Droppleman, Jr. of Weirton, Thomas Droppleman and his wife Debbie of Muncie, IN and Daniel Droppleman and his wife Heidi of Farmland, IN.; nephews Ryan and Eric Droppleman and niece Danelle Droppleman. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where funeral services will be held at 10AM Thursday with Rev. Father Stephen Dube presiding. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Weirton.
