David James Obeldobel
September 30, 1951 ~ November 28, 2019
David James Obeldobel, 68, of Weirton, formerly of Pittsburgh, quietly and peacefully lost his battle with cancer on November 28, 2019 at the Weirton Medical Center.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Melissa, parents Martin and Ruth Obeldobel and brother Martin Jr. He is survived by his wife Janna; son Douglas (Edith) Obeldobel of Colliers; stepchildren Leanna (Conleith) Beatty of Leesburg, Virginia, Jeremiah (Jessica) Kraft of Weirton, Carrie (Stan) Darke of Falls Church, Virginia; twelve grandchildren and sisters Marian Zarnich of Pittsburgh, Kathy Chicchi of Findleyville, Pennsylvania, Ruth (Kevin) Henderson of Johns Island, South Carolina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
David was a local businessman; owner of M & D Auto Clinic. He loved boating and camping. He spent many long hours with friends and relatives on the Ohio River. He loved and was loved by many. He will be forever missed.
The family wishes to thank all who have expressed their sympathy. It is greatly appreciated.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 1-3 and 5-7 PM and on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton, where funeral services will be celebrated on Tuesday at 12 PM. Reverend Father Anthony G. Thurston will officiate.
Burial will follow at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, PA.

I am saddened to hear of Dave’s passing and offer my condolences to his family. I did business with him for years when I Iived in Weirton. He was a very honest and reliable mechanic. May he Rest In Peace
