David Lloyd Ivill, 71, of Colliers, WV died suddenly on Saturday November 9, 2019. A son of the late Lloyd and Patricia Rohrbough Ivill, David was born on March 25, 1948 in Morgantown, WV. He was also preceded in death by his father in law, Hartzell Lancaster; his brother in law, Douglas Beynon; his niece, Lauri Beynon and his nephew, Kenneth Beynon, Jr. Dave graduated from Weir High School in 1967 and immediately started working in Weirton Steel. In 1968 he was drafted into the United States Army where he served in Germany and Vietnam. After returning from Vietnam, Dave continued his employment as a welder with Weirton Steel until his retirement in 2002. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. Dave will always be remembered for the love he had for his wife and sons. He enjoyed going to Doo - Wop shows, attending swap meets, and shopping with his wife. Around their farm he enjoyed feeding his cows and playing with his cat Twinkles. Dave will be remembered with love by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl Lancaster Ivill, his two sons, David Scott and James Allen Ivill all of Colliers, WV; his brother, Thomas (Betsy) Ivill of Toronto, OH; his sister, Beverly A. (Jeff) Bowman of State College, PA; his mother in law, Julia Mallas Lancaster; his sisters in law, Diane Lancaster Beynon, and Carmella Lancaster both of Weirton; his brother in law, Hartzell “John” (Gloria) Lancaster; nieces, Angela (Jason) Nelson, Ashley (Aaron) Guersky, Amber (Jacob) Fischer, Angel Lancaster; his nephews, Thomas(Debra) Ivill, Jr., Chad (Carolyn) Ivill, and Jared Bowman; and his great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 4PM until 8 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Funeral services will be conducted 1 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with Rev. Larry Barkley presiding. Entombment will follow at Highland Hill Memorial Gardens with military honors conducted by the West Virginia National Guard and the American Legion Post 10 Honor Guard.
