Dawn Colleen Chester

Dawn Colleen Chester, 44 of Weirton, WV died Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Allegheny General Hospital.
Born June 14, 1971 in Orlando, FL, she was the daughter of Roger Chester and Billie Jean (Bains) Chester. Dawn was preceded in death by her daughter Ashley Drawdy.
Dawn was a bookkeeper at the VFW Post 2716. She also served as secretary/treasurer of the VFW Post 2716 Women's Auxiliary, District 1 Treasurer of the VFW, member of the Brooke/Hancock Counties Veteran's Memorial Park, and past member of Republican Executive Committee for Hancock County. She enjoyed going to council meetings, participating in local politics and fishing.
She is survived by her son Brian (Kendall) Drawdy of FL; daughter Ellie Jean Young of Weirton, WV; and brother William Chester of Weirsdale, FL.
A celebration of Dawn's life will be held on Sunday at 5:00 pm at the First United Methodist Church, 3301 West Street, Weirton, WV.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Change Inc., Domestic Violence Shelter, 3158 West Street, Weirton, WV 26062 or to the VFW Post 2716 Relief Fund to support veterans, 3435 Main St., Weirton, WV 26062.

I\’m so sorry that this happened. I knew Dawn from the VFW. She was very much the straight shooter and a wonderful person to be around. I will miss her company. May God be with you in this time of loss.
