Debra "Debbie" Ann Granato

Debbie A. Granato of Weirton, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, following a recent surgery. She was 62 years old.

Debbie was born on June 7, 1960, one of two children born to Vernon and Sally Bruno Hughes.

Debbie graduated from Burgettstown Area High School in 1978. After receiving her associate’s degree, she was employed by Nova Chemical as a lab technician before working for BASF as a lab technician for 14 years.

In January of 1987, she married James Charles Granato. In their 35 years of marriage, they were blessed with two sons and seven grandchildren.

Debbie adored her grandchildren and loved to spoil them. She would buy them anything they wanted but most of all she cherished the time she spent with them.

Debbie nourished her faith at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Vernon Hughes in 1990.

She will be remembered with love by her mother, Sally Bruno Hughes; her husband, James “Jim” Charles Granato; her two sons, Jared (Ashley) and Jacob (Hillary Jochum) Granato; brother, Charles (Diana) Hughes and her grandchildren, Cayce, Benjamin, Preston, Kayley, Bella, Auna and Max.

Debbie’s wishes were honored. There will not be any public services held.
