DeEtta Sue Tibbs

DeEtta Sue Tibbs, 74, of Weirton, died Friday, August 28, 2015 at Life Line Hospital in Wintersville, OH. Born March 20, 1941, in Shirley, WV, she was the daughter of the late Merle Kester and Sylvia Main Kester. DeEtta was also preceded in death by her husband Ruble L. Tibbs and son Melvin Tibbs, brother Harry Kester and sisters Ruth Weekley, Mary Edgell , Dorothy Curtis and Opal Whear. DeEtta was a homemaker and in her free time she enjoyed watching soap operas, sci-fi movies and caring for her cats. She is survived by her son, Francis (Jennifer) Tibbs of Wheeling, WV; daughters Vicki (Ricky) Kurensky of Follansbee and Terri (Billy) Farley of Weirton; brothers Walter and Gary Kester, sister Kathy Kester; grandchildren Lori, Samuel, Bradley and Sara; great-grandchildren Louis and Lily . Visitation will be held on Monday from 6-8 PM at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. DeEtta will be laid to rest with her husband Ruble at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies in Bridgeville, PA at a later date.
