Delores (Dee Dee) DeCaria, 72, of Weirton, WW, passed away Saturday, February 4, 2017, at her home, with her husband at her side. Born November 20, 1944, in Steubenville, OH, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Rocchio Matazinski. A graduate of Weir High School, Dee was first employed as a telephone operator with C&P Telephone, and then spent 12 years as a secretary at Weirton Steel. During her marriage, she worked occasionally at the DeCaria family grocery store, The International Market. She was a proud member of St. Joseph the Worker Parish. Dee Dee was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was the beloved wife of Frank D. DeCaria for 42 years and loving mother of Domenic DeCaria (Amanda) and grandmother of Alex, age 6, and Tori, age 4. She is also survived by her sister JoAnn Stewart (Frank). She enjoyed watching TV, especially the cable news networks as she was a "political junkie", She also enjoyed watching Judge Judy and Wheel of Fortune. In accordance with Dee Dee's wishes a private family visitation will be held at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday 11:15 AM at St. Joseph the Worker Church. Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.
