What a wonderful person!! I have grown up knowing the Wharton family. Denise’s mom and dad were such kind and wonderful people. So easy to see where she got that from. I will always cherish the wonderful times we had in PTA and at Wina’s Studio. It was always apparent in her actions how much she loved children and how proud she was of her son and daughter. Katy, my heart aches for you. I hope the kind words of others help to heal your heart. Susan, you could have been no better sister, friend, confidante, and support for Denise these past several months. May God hold you up during this difficult time. We love you and are here for you. Love and prayers to you all.
Rich, I think you are an amazing person. I am in awe of the way you carry yourself at work and interacting with other people during this period of your life. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Dan

I GREW UP KNOWING THE WHARTON FAMILY & SPENT MANY A SUNDAY AT THEIR HOME. I WAS ALWAYS AMAZED AT HOW WILMA WOULD HAVE A BIG DINNER ON THE TABLE IN WHAT SEEMED LIKE THE BLINK OF AN EYE ! HER AND BART WERE SUCH NICE PEOPLE I REMEMBER WHEN DENISE WAS BORN, BUT SINCE I’M “OLDER”, I WAS GOOD FRIENDS WITH HER SISTER, LINDA AND LATER, WITH HER SISTER, SUSAN. I’VE LOST THREE IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE PAST 15 MONTHS, SO I KNOW THE GRIEF AND SADNESS THE DECKER AND WHARTON FAMILIES ARE EXPERIENCING. MY SINCERE SYMPATHY GOES OUT TO BOTH FAMILIES AND ALSO TO DENISE’S MANY FREINDS. SHARON (BARNHART) REED
