Diana Ference

Diana “Duddy” Ference, 80, of Weirton, died Monday, April 26, 2004 at D & D Quality Care. Born October 9, 1923 in Weirton, she was the daughter of the late Riley and Sophie Milanovich Vucelich. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Rudy Stepanovich, Pete Rocovich and George Vucelich; sisters Grace White and Mary L. Porce and an infant sister. Diana retired from Weirton Steel where she worked as a file clerk. She was a member of the Holy Resurrection Serbian Orthodox Church, the KCC Club, SNF Lodge 78, AARP, CFU Lodge 595, WSX 25-Year Club and was chairperson of the Weir High School Class of 1941 Reunion Committee. Diana’s survivors include her sisters Ann Barber and JoAnn Dankovchik and her husband Leonard all of Weirton. Friends will be received Wednesday 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton where Pomen Services will be held at 7:45 PM. Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM Thursday at the funeral home with The Very Reverend Father Rade Merick presiding. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wheeling, WV.
