Diana Kay Nagy
November 27, 1942 ~ December 22, 2015
Diana Kay Nagy, 73, of Weirton, WV, died Tuesday December 22, 2015 at Valley Hospice Care Center North.
Born November 27, 1942 in Nanty Glo, PA, she was a daughter of Helen Hakanen Mott of Nanty Glo, PA, and the late William Mott. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Karen Weaver.
Diana was an elementary teacher prior to starting her family, which she devoted her entire life to. She loved being around her children and grandchildren. Besides being a "Great Mother" and homemaker, she enjoyed being an avid reader. One of her favorite pastimes was taking long rides in the country.
Diana was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Weirton, where she was an active member of Becky's Circle.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband Paul; sons David Nagy of Bloomingdale, OH, and John Nagy (Dr. Kerri) Nagy of Buford, GA; a daughter Paula (Aron) Mankowski of Weirton; a brother David (Pam) Mott of Ebensburg, PA; sisters Mary Ann (Steve) Miller of Revlock, PA, and Nancy (Julio) Casanas of Upperco, MD; her grandchildren, Brianna, Mason, Helena and Annmarie Nagy, Ethan and Amelia Mankowski; her in laws, Michael Nagy and Darlene and Melvin Willard; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 11 AM until time of services at 2 PM Saturday, at Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.
Reverend Michael L. Heckathorn will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trinity Lutheran Church 3432 West Street Weirton, WV 26062 or to Valley Hospice 10686 State Route 150 Rayland, OH 43943.
