Diana Lynn Zerkle, 50, of Weirton passed away Tuesday January 23, 2007, with her loving family including her mother, father, sister Tammie and Mark, Uncle Bill, Aunt Helen, Bob, Deb, Mark, and Mikki Marino by her side. Diana was preceded in death by her grandparents, Michael and Mildred Veselica and Ida Mildred Roush. She was born in Weirton, WV to James and Bertha Veselica Zerkle on August 24, 1956. Diana was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Weirton. Diana was loved by all who knew her. She is survived by her parents, Jim and Bertha Zerkle; her sister, Tammie and Mark Zilich; neighbors, cousins, many friends and church family. Visitation will be 6-8PM Thursday and 2-4 & 6-8PM Friday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton. Additional visitation will be 11AM until time of services at 12 noon Saturday at the First United Methodist Church, 3301 West Street, Weirton. Reverend Chuck Jerman, Reverend Gary Shepard and Reverend Timothy Allen will preside. Entombment will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions in Diana’s memory may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Valley Hospice or the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

I have been suffering with lung problems and won’t be able to attend the funeral home or funeral but know that you have my deepest sympathies and if i can do anything for you let me know. It is so sad to know that a close neighbor will be gone. I can only imagine what it would be like to lose a child and I wanted your family to know how very sad we feel about your loss.
