dolores salomon
Dolores Angelika Salomon of Weirton WV, went to be with our Lord and Savior on Tuesday February 22, 2022 at the age of 60. Dolores, known as Angelika to her friends, was the first born to Viktor and Sherry Muth in Syracuse, NY. She had an insatiable passion for life that radiated to those she surrounded herself with. This vibrancy followed her through her travels and continued to touch the hearts of those she came in contact with. During her educational years, Angelika lived abroad in Germany and Spain, blossoming a knack for language and had an admiration for the diversities the world has to offer. This fervor extended past her ability to travel, translating into endless exploration of foreign cultures and foods. She applied her love for the world in each of her projects, traveling with each of her friends and family through their stories. To describe Angelika in one word would be a challenge, though the closest one could come is ‘devoted.’ She was devoted to her family, her friends, her church, her relationships, and most of all, God. Those that were privileged enough to be near her were made to feel like family. She followed her heart, eventually finding her way to WV with the loving help of Pastor Gary and Pamela Lilly. While living in the Ohio Valley, Angelika was blessed with her son, Daniel, with his father Dario Salomon. Daniel became the fulcrum of her life, Angelika devoting herself to his upbringing and care. Angelika was the family photographer, and had both an eye and precision for God’s beauty. She not only had a phenomenal talent for capturing stunning images, but she loved to document her travels, as well as the travels of others. She had an unadulterated joy for others and their achievements, sharing in their excitement and wonder as if she were experiencing it herself. Living life was important to Angelika, and she lived each day–each moment–full and with abundance. She not only captured moments on film, but she captured them in her heart. She lived by faith and walked in grace, speaking with the utmost truth and love to everyone around her. Angelika was, and will continue to be, easy to love. She will be remembered and cherished by her son, Daniel Salomon, his father and her dear friend, Dario Salomon, her parents, Sherry and Viktor Muth, and her siblings, Denise (Brian) Kistner, Arleen (Michael) Schafer, Lorraine Keenan, Joshua (Rachel) Muth, and Jacob Muth. She will also live on in the hearts of her many friends, here and abroad, her church family, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation will be Monday 5pm until 7pm at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV, where funeral services will be held at 7pm with Pastor Gary Lilly presiding.
