Domenica ''Minnie'' Palumbo

Domenica “Minnie” Palumbo, 92 of Weirton, WV died Monday July 9, 2001 at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on October 4, 1908 in Gallo, Italy, the daughter of the late Anthony and Rose Castaldo Palumbo. Minnie was also preceded in death by her husband, Anthony J. Palumbo, on March 6, 1987 and her daughter, Helen Palumbo Cercone, on December 14, 1991. She was a member of Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton. Her son, Patsy J. Palumbo and his wife, Rose of Weirton and her four grandchildren, John Palumbo and Rena Palumbo Jones both of Moorestown, NJ and Lori Cercone Andrew of West Bloomfield Heights, MI and Mark Cercone of Charlotte, NC, and 7 great grandchildren, survive. Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton. A prayer service will be held at 2PM in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 12 Noon Thursday at the Saint Joseph the Worker Church.
