Babe graduated from Weir High School and enlisted in the United States Army, where he served in World War II. After the war he followed in his father's foot steps and owned and operated a barber shop in downtown Weirton called Babe's Barber Shop. At the age of 34, he married his wife Virginia and later was employed at Weirton Steel for 30 years before retiring.
An award winning jitterbug dancer, Babe enjoyed spending time with his family. He especially enjoyed watching his daughter Mary Beth, and grandchildren excel on the sports fields and courts while occasionally giving the referees a hard time. Another one of his favorite pastimes was joining his buddies at the K of C for a card game.
He was an active member of Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Knights of Columbus 3734 and the Fourth Degree Assembly.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Virginia Tominack Guzzetta, his three daughters, Marisa (Brian) Shreve, Monette Myers, and Mary Beth Guzzetta; his nine grandchildren, Christopher, Jesse, Nicholas, Boomer, Maggie, and Levi Shreve, Luke, Jacob (Angela), and Stephanie Myers; and six great grandchildren, Kendyll, Steven, Kaleb, Sofia, Mila, and Mollie; several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Guzzetta was called to Heaven at a very special time of year for the Catholic Church……a season where we celebrate the birth of Jesus & a new life……how appropriate. Now Mr. Guzzetta can start his new life with Jesus and all the Saints by his side. Both Mr & Mrs. Guzzetta are the most kind, loving, and giving people that I have ever met. I am honored to be able to call you friends! Celebrate his 90 years! You have my deepest sympathy because you have lost a great man.
My Uncle Babe was a special man, I have many happy childhood memories of spending time at his home. Birthdays etc.. He was always cheerful and kind to all of us kids. He is with God now, where he belongs.
Monette, Luke, Jake, and Stephanie,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your Pap. I also grew up very close to my Grandfather. He passed away in 1967 and I still miss him very much and cherish the memories I have of him.
God Bless all of you and your family.
When Tommy and Tiffany were little we would always go to Uncle Donalds at Christmas Eve. There was every variety of Italian food imagined. Especially Donalds home made Italian hot sausage……
Mr. Guzzetta was former neighbor. Probably one one the best I could ever have. I watched his family grow.I will treasure and will never forget the love that the Guzzetta’s have for life and family. God Bless..
