Donald “Donnie” Notni, 65, of New Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at Montifiore Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born October 11, 1939 in Weirton, he was the son of the late Patsy and Theresa Conchell Notni. Donnie was also preceded in death by his brothers James and Melio Notni. Donnie retired from the Weirton Steel Welding Department where he worked as a welder. After his retirement, he worked at Mountaineer Golf Course in Chester, WV. He was Catholic by faith and a member of the WSX 25-Year Club. Donnie’s survivors include his wife Regina (Jackson) Notni of New Cumberland; sons Robert Notni of Weirton and Sean Notni at home; daughter Teresa Jones and her husband William of Weirton; brother Frank Notni and his wife Dora of Follansbee, WV; sister Jeanette Gubetti and her husband Andy of Albany, GA and grandchildren Dominic and Maria Notni and Ryan and Nathan Jones. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9PM and Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Saturday with Reverend Father Tony Thurston presiding.
