Donald L. Barr

Donald L. Barr, 43, of Weirton, died Monday, May 13, 2002 at his home. He was born on January 8, 1959 in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Herman Curtis Barr, Sr. and Lillie Mae (West) Barr. Donald worked as a car salesman for Rich Galardi Ford, Pavlik Motors, Twin State Motors, and most recently for West Pointe Motors, with 25 years of service collectively. He was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Weirton. Donald served his country in the U.S. Navy on the U.S.S. Hunley where he worked as an engineer fireman. Donald is survived by his wife, Diana Haines Barr of Weirton, whom he married on March 4, 2000; two step sons, Stephen Haines of Huntington, IN and Scott Haines of Weirton; one brother, Herman Curtis Barr, Jr. and his wife Vicky of Mingo Junction, OH; and two sisters, Loretta O’Kelley of Wellsburg, WV and Ruth Ann Boyd of Beech Bottom, WV. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 PM Wednesday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main St., Weirton. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 300 Three Springs Drive, Weirton. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
