Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear Mary and Sons, I was so sorry to heard of Donald’s passing. Can remember the first time I met Donald at my parent’s home and he was telling funny stories when I left for work and he was still keeping everyone laughing when I came home. It was always a pleasure having both of you visiting. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Carol

  2. Dear Mary and Sons, I have many memories of Don that often cross my mind. Don was the kind of guy that on a cold day he would insist that I take his hat. I used to look forward to 7am when the flat bed trucks would be lined up. Don was a pleasure to work with and be around. His cookouts were great and his friendship was better. He thought the world of his wife and sons. He was proud of his family and everyone was invited into his family of friends. I enjoyed going to his camp and his home, I enjoyed it when he stopped by to see me as well. I will miss Don and his happy out look on life. He gave many of us at Lowes nick names that still ring in my mind. I wish I could be home this week. I love you Big Don.

  3. Mary and Sons. My deepest sympathies of the passing of Big Don he always made me laugh with the jokes he had to tell while unloading trucks at Lowes! God Bless

  4. Dear Mary and Children; You probally donot know me but I worked with Don at Lowe’s for 9 years. I feel like I know all of you because he talked so much about you all. He was always talking about how great of a cook you are, Mary. He also went on about his 2 sons. He was very proud of them. He talked about how smart they are. I started in lumber with him at Lowe’s and he taught me how to drive the forklift. I use to tell people I was trained by the best.Don was a great person and I am very saddened to hear of your loss. God bless you all and my prayers are with you. Chris (Cozart) Cooley

  5. Mary, I only knew Don for a very short period of time from the dialysis clinic, but Keath spoke very highly of him from working with him. I know how tough it was. Remember the good times and treasure them. I wish I had had the opportunity to know Don when he was healthy, but I am glad that I met him. If you ever need anything, don’t hesitate to call Keath or me, even if it is just to talk. God be with you…Keath and Ruth
