donna diangelis

Donna Jean DiAngelis (née Shultz), a radiant beacon of love and dedication, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024.

Raised in Weirton, WV by Clarence and Velma Shultz, she was a long-time member of St. Joseph The Worker Church.

Donna cherished fond memories of fun-filled summers spent with her extended family in “Hoopie.” ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ became her anthem, symbolizing West Virginia’s embrace and her deep roots.

Donna possessed a strength that beamed through her gentle spirit. A lover of Elvis and a devoted Steelers fan, she found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Deeply committed to her community, she served as a band parent, Scout den mother, and officer of the Knights of Columbus Women’s Auxiliary.

Donna’s warmth extended beyond the walls of her home. Her front porch was a welcoming retreat for family, friends, and neighbors seeking conversation and connection.

Her brother and children, with their knack for finding humor in the ordinary, brought her endless joy. Her ability to find laughter in life’s simplest moments was a gift cherished by all who knew her. With love passed down through generations, Donna carried on the delicious recipes and traditions she inherited from her mother. Every Christmas, the aroma of her legendary cookies and fudge filled the air. Beyond the holidays, Donna ensured that our gatherings were filled with warmth and togetherness.

For 56 years, Donna shared a devoted marriage with Joseph (deceased). Family was her core.

She embraced both biological and foster children. She leaves behind a legacy of love, carried on by her brother Ken Shultz, her children J.D. DiAngelis (Dawna), Tammy Wells (Greg), Vincent DiAngelis (Ella), Patrick DiAngelis (Katie), foster daughter Christine Demko, and the three foster grandchildren she raised. Though gone, Donna’s spirit lives on in the hearts of her nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, a testament to the enduring power of love.
