donna jackson

Donna Jean Jackson, 72 of Weirton, passed away on July 31, 2023, at the Forbes Regional Hospital after bravely battling a nine-month illness.
She was born on November 2, 1950, in Steubenville, Ohio, to George and Margaret Brondos Shernit.

On May 4, 1974, she married the love of her life, John M. Jackson, with whom she shared countless happy memories. Their journey together began when John took Donna Jean to her prom as a favor to his sister, and they built a strong and loving relationship. John affectionately referred to her as “Pookie.”

Donna’s life was full of joy and adventure. She had a mischievous spirit that complemented her caring and loving nature. Among her favorite pastimes were attending family gatherings, spending time at the beach in Titusville, Florida, enjoying picnics, boating, and playing volleyball. A true Pittsburgh Steelers fan, Donna’s love for sports and socializing brought her joy and connected her with many friends.
