Dori Linn White

Dori Linn White, 65, of Weirton, West Virginia, passed away at Select Specialty Hospital on Monday, October 11, 2021. Born on August 16, 1956, to the late David C. Ford and Sophie Melvin, she loved to solve puzzles whether it be from a murder mystery, book, movie or game. She thoroughly enjoyed playing Euchre and spending time with her friends and family. Dori, a 1974 graduate of Weir High, is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of forty-five years, Wayne White. She and Wayne had a caring relationship based on mutual support and a deep love for each other, as well as a common love for their daughters, Shanna (Robert) Lewis and Elizabeth (Joshua) Daffron had three grandchildren who were a great source of pride in her life, Austin (Verity) Lewis, Aubrey Lewis, and Leland Lewis. She was also survived by her sister Diane (William) Grandon. Dori was committed to family and friends, making sure that every person knew and achieved their highest potential. She was a caretaker, mother and cheerleader whose indomitable spirit encouraged those around her to persist in the face of many struggles.
