Dorotha D. Schreiner

Dorotha D. Schreiner, 82, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2004 at the Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Born July 7, 1921 in Belington, WV, she is the daughter of the late Artemus J. and Minnie (Swick) Huffman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Schreiner in January, 1990 and sister Pauline Marshall.
Dorotha was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crafts, card club, gardening and her grandchildren. She was a member of the Cove Presbyterian Church in Weirton where she was Circle Leader of Presbyterian Women, a member of the Myrtle McHendry Sunday School Class, Treasurer of Weirton Church Women United, Choir Coordinator and Hospitality Chairperson of Church Women United. She was also President of AARP 2788, President of Gardenia Twig of Weirton Medical Center, Three Score Seniors and was past President of the Weirton Womans Club.
Dorotha’s survivors include her sons David and his wife Sandra and Michael and his wife Janet all of Weirton and Gary and his wife Jeryl of Negley, Ohio; nephew Richard Marshall who lived with his Aunt; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Additional visitation will be held Thursday from 1PM until the 2PM funeral service at the Cove Presbyterian Church, 3404 Main Street, Weirton. Rev. Robert Marsh will preside. Interment will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
