Dorothy Helen Ross of Weirton passed away on Saturday, January 16, 2021. She was 80 years old.
Born on May 25, 1940, in Weirton, WV, Dorothy was born to Andrew and Helen Brier.
Dorothy was employed for twenty-eight years as a clerk at Steelworks Federal Credit Union in Weirton.
Dorothy nourished her faith at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church in Weirton and Saint Theresa of Avalia Roman Catholic Church, in McCandless, PA.
She cherished the times she spent with her family and the times she had with her granddaughter, Ella. She and Ella would listen to music, color, and watch movies together.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her sister, Loretta Brier.
She will be remembered with love by her son, Jim and Linda Hardaway Ross, her daughter, Janet Marie Nordin; her brother, Greg Brier; her sisters, Dolores Yenke and Connie (Chuck) Smith; and her granddaughter, Ella Marie Nordin.
Visitation will be Thursday from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Friday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church, Weirton.
Entombment will follow at Saint Paul's Cemetery.

Dorothy is my dear sister. I have fond memories of times growing up together. She is missed by us all. She always loved animals, especially her dogs. We are making memorial denotations to Animal Rescue Project in Kalamazoo MI and a Dementia Association. Hugs and prayer to Jim, Janet and Families.
