Douglas Kenneth Beynon Sr.
August 20, 1950 ~ January 20, 2017
With his wife by his side, Douglas Kenneth Beynon Sr., 66, of Weirton WV, passed away Friday, January 20, 2017 at his home. Born August 20, 1950 in Steubenville, he was a son of the late John and Patricia Beynon. He was also preceded in death by his son Douglas Kenneth Beynon Jr., and his father in law Hartzell O. Lancaster.
Douglas was a 1968 Weir High graduate and served in the U.S. Air Force in Germany from 1968-1972. He worked at Weirton Steel Railroad Department for 11 years, he also worked for Pillsbury Company and as a carpenter installing kitchens and baths. He was an avid antique care collector and had been a member of the AACA, Steel Valley Antique Car Club and Northern Panhandle Region of AACA.
He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 47 years Julia Diane (Lancaster) Beynon; daughter Lauri Racquel Beynon of Weirton; mother in law Julia Lancaster; sister-in-law Cheryl (David) Ivill and Carmella Lancaster; brother-in-law Hartzell John (Gloria) Lancaster; nephews Scott and James Ivill; nieces Ashleigh (Aaron) Gurskey, Amber and Angel Lancaster; great niece Jordin Avery Gurskey, his special rescue 5 lb. yorkie Ada Beynon and many other close and dear friends.
The Beynon family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses of UPMC in Pittsburgh and to Valley Hospice.
There will be no visitation. Private services were held by the family.
