Earl Fodor, Jr., 79, of Weirton, passed away Sunday September 28, 2008, at the Weirton Medical Center. Earl was born on August 3, 1929 in Weirton, WV, the son of the late Earl and Mary Freshwater Fodor. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, Robert and Carl Fodor. Earl retired after 35 years of service from National Steel where he worked as a foreman in the Sheet Mill of Weirton Steel. When he was not working Earl loved spending time in his garden. He was a member of the Cove Presbyterian Church, a 1947 graduate of Weir High School, member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club, AF & AM New Cumberland Lodge 22, a lifetime member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 688 and the past president of the Millsop Elementary School PTA. Earl is survived by his wife, Marie Swango Fodor, whom he married on June 21, 1949; his son, Randy and Linda Fodor of Port Charlotte, FL; his two daughters, Vicki and David Reitter of Weirton, WV and Mona and Alan Caton of Shaftsbury, VT; his two sisters, Annetta and Jim Neil and Lois Redd all of Weirton, WV; his six grandchildren B.J. and Brent Reitter, Jamie (Sean) Lash, Brianne (Dave)Mansfield, Derek and Brenda McLain, and Jenna McLain; his four great grandchildren, Reed and Gage Reitter, Brayley Lash and Keegan McLain. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Greco- Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, where services will be held 10 AM Wednesday. Reverend Chuck Jerman will preside. Interment will follow at the Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.

  9. Dear Mrs Fodor and Family, I like to remember with my good memories of Mr Fodor and Mr Wiles together walking in the garden comparing tomatoe plants, corn, peppers and laughing about old times!.
