To all of Edda’s family – I am truly sorry for your loss. Edda was a wonderful person and I admired her so much. I have known her for so many years – we were best friends in elementary school, and remained friends. I helped her move into her first apartment at WVU – what a good time we had. We had lost touch over the last several years, but I always thought of her and missed her friendship. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
Diana and Family, I am so sorry to hear this about your sister. I know how close all of you were and how much you loved your sisters. I hope God gives your strength during this time. Rebecca and Dave Van Nuys

Edda brought light, love and laughter to all of us when she was around, it was so easy for her to be herself. We are all very lucky and blessed to have known her even though her time here was so short. My prayers are with her family and friends, she will be missed by all.
Dear Pat, Patrick, George, and rest of family, Edda was a wonderful women, not to mention loving Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, and Friend. She was truly great at it all. I looked up to her so much as she guided me in the right direction all of these year as I helped her with the boys. I consider Patrick and George to be my little brothers. And she has been such a great inspiration in my life and has changed it forever. She will truly be loved and missed as these days go on, but she will never be forgotten. Patrick and George lets not forget as you grow older, with every decision you make, let her be there in spirit to guide you to the correct choice. She was a wonderful woman and I know we will all miss her tremendously. Pat, Patrick, and George, hang in there and stay strong. My deepest sympathy for your loss. Edda and I went to school together from kindergarten thru 12th grade. Although I have not seen her in years, I was saddened to hear of such a tragic loss. May she rest in peace.
Edda had a gift of making the ordinary, special. She was such a good friend and will be missed by her friends as well of her family. Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow. I am the diamond glint on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain. I am the gentle autumn rain. When you wake in the morning hush, I am the swift, uplifting rush Of quiet birds in circling flight. I am the soft starlight at night. Do not stand at my grave and weep. I am not there, I do not sleep. Do not stand at my grave and cry. I am not there, I did not die!
Edda and I were classmates. Her smile would always brighten our day. It saddens me to think of the grief you must be feeling. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
I went to school with Edda. She was such a sweet soul, and beautiful. I was so saddened to hear of her accident. I am truly sorry for the family’s tremendous loss. You will be in my prayers. Bless you.
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved Edda. I am Clara Sobolewski Pekarscik, 1st cousin of Edda’s Mom. We were at Edda’s baptism. We lost touch with the family after we moved to Mi. Whenever we saw Edda’s mom she was always so proud of her acomplishments. Edda turned into a very loving and caring person. We are so sorry for her loss. Clara & Raymond Pekarscik
Edda and I were in band together at Wintersville High School and she was such a lovely young lady to have shared those great times. I will always remember her beautiful and cheerful smile and friendship.
Edda was one of the warmest, kindest souls that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I went to Wintersville with Edda and I never, ever saw her without a smile on her face. She always brought warmth to all of those that she encountered. She is one of God’s true children and I feel that I am a better person for having known her. I’m sure countless feel the same way. My sincere condolences and prayers go out to the entire family. Be proud…Edda was an angel in every way.
Pat and family, Our prayers are with you in this time of sorrow. I just got an email about your loss and am so sorry for all of you. May God comfort you.
Just got word from my family. You and in my thoughts and prayers. May God help you through this difficult time.
Edda and I shared many special times together from elementary school through high school. She was one of my closest friends. The last time I saw her was at a Wintersville High School reunion and she was more beautiful than ever. I’ll never forget how happy she was then and how she lit up when she talked about her husband and children. I am deeply saddened by the loss of my old friend. My sincerest sympathies to her family and friends.
The family of Edda, My thoughts and prayers are with you as you say good-bye this morning. I hope it helps to know how many people thought so much of Edda. I have many happy memories of times spent with her as a friend and classmate. I will always remember her smile and laughter. May God bless all of you.

My deepest sympathies to Edda’s entire family. Always keep fond memories of her in your mind and close to your heart. Please remember all the wonderful moments that were shared with her during the 46 years that she graced this earth. I remember walking Edda home from Mrs. Murray’s kindergarten class at Bantam Ridge Elementary School. She was my first girlfriend. She looked absolutely radiant at our 20 yr reunion. She touched a lot of people’s lives.
My prayers go out to Edda’s family. I had posted on a facebook site some thoughts about her recently and i too can only agree with the others about her kindness and beauty as a person. It’s amazing when just the thought of someone can elicit a smile or a pure positive vibe. Edda was that way for me. She will truly be missed.
Edda and I were childhood friends. While residing on Murphy Avenue, we attended grade school together. We would walk to and from school together. As a child, I remember she was always so caring and thoughtful. I always looked up to her. As children, we would sit in her front yard and just talk. She had a dog named Sheba. I will always remember her by her kinds and thoughtful ways. Although many years have passed and we lost contact, my sincere sympathy goes out to her family and friends. She will always be remembered.
Our prayers and thoughts to Pat, Patrick and George. Edda was a beautiful person, always cordial and kind. I remember one time Edda watched our children while Pat and I golfed, Edda prepared a party, they snacked, made cookies and our kids swam with the boys and they had the time of their life. As we pulled away from the Gunnings house, my son asked when we were going back to that amusement park and my daughter said “you got some work to do Daddy, their house is a lot bigger than ours”. May God Bless Edda as she rests in peace and watch over the men in her life. The Gunnings are in our prayers.
