Edgar Keith Gaumer, 84, 0f Weirton, WV, died Friday August 22, 2014, at the Weirton Geriatric Center. Born on May 4, 1930, in East Liverpool, OH, Keith was a son of the late George Edgar and Anetta Mayer Gaumer. He was also preceded in death by his brother, George Francis Gaumer, and his sister, Justine Joyce , and his brother in law, Charles Joyce. After 35 years of dedicated service, Mr. Gaumer retired , as a crane operator from Weirton Steel. He was an active member of Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church , and the Holy Name Society; the Knights of Columbus 3734, past Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Columbus Fourth Degree Assembly; and past member of the Weirton Area Relators Board. In his free time Keith enjoyed spending time with his wife, Evie, working on their lawn and their beautiful water fountain in their front yard. Keith is survived by his wife, Evelyn Jean "Evie" (Baker) Gaumer , whom he married on August 30, 1958; his daughter, Sherry Milewsky and her husband Douglas of Fort Lauderdale, FL; brothers, Thomas Gaumer of Carrollton, OH, and Willard Gaumer of Wintersville, OH; his brother in law, Harold Baker of Weirton, WV; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Monday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV Knights of Columbus Rosary will be recited at 6 PM Monday evening in the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Tuesday at Saint Paul's Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. The Fourth Degree Assembly will stand Honor Guard. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Weirton.
