Edith “Sally” Pfiller Snodgrass of Follansbee, WV. died on Thursday, October 26, 2023. She was 96 years old.
She was born on November 2, 1926, in Hollidays Cove, Weirton, WV.
She was preceded in death by her dear husband Frank Edwin “Eddie” Snodgrass, her parents, Max and Martha Pfiller, her sister Elizabeth (William) Monney, and brother Walter (Anna) Pfiller.
A member of the Blue Wave Follansbee High School Class of 1944, she graduated from Steubenville Hospital Ohio Valley School of Nursing. She was known as “Miss Sally” by her kindergarten students.
She is survived by her son Tim Snodgrass and nieces and nephews and their families with their relatives.
Edith was blessed with the extraordinary friendship of Kay Bilal and Shirley Shuler with lifelong friends including her nursing school friends through the years and around the country.
She was a Christian and was about loving kindness, duty, and fulfillment.
She gave life, saved life, and educated lives.
She declined no commendation, but it is her due. Daughter, wife, mother, nurse, teacher, and friend sincerely she filled well her part while she tarried here. To the end of her life, she asked, “Are you ok,” “Are you happy,” “ Did you pray to God?” R.I.P.
Private family services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church.
Pastor Michael Heckathorn officiated.
Edith will be buried next to her husband Eddie in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

I grew up very close to Miss Sally , I’m definitely one of her students from kindergarten . I Loved her like family ! Never as a child did I walk by the house and not get a popsicle or something from them . Rest in peace my friend !
