Edmond Adamczyk

Edmond Adamczyk, 81 of Weirton, died Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at the Weirton Medical Center.
He was born on March 7, 1920, in East Vandergrift, PA, the son of the late Stanley and Bessie Kolkowski Adamczyk. His wife, Elizabeth M. Kelchak Adamczyk and his sister, Irene Hughes, also preceded him in death.
Edmond retired after 40 ½ years as a foreman on the number 3 & 4 galvanized line of the Weirton Steel Sheet Mill. He served his country during World War II in the United States Army. He was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Weirton Steel 25-Year Club, VFW 2716, Weirton Steel Management Club, Polish National Alliance.
Surviving include his two sons, Edmond D. Adamczyk of Weirton; Ronald D. and his wife Karen Adamczyk of Broadview Heights, OH; his daughter Carol Ann Adamczyk of Weirton; his brother, Henry and his wife Valeria Adamczyk of Weirton; his three sisters and his two grandchildren, Molly Elizabeth and Ashley Marie Adamczyk of Broadview Heights, OH. Several nieces and nephews also survive him.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 PM Friday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street, Weirton
Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday with Rev. Fr. D. Kent Durig, presiding.
Interment will be in Saint Paul Cemetery.
