Edward E. Klash, a lifelong resident of Weirton, WV, passed away on Thursday March 17, 2022, at the Weirton Medical Center. He was 83. Ed was born in Steubenville, OH on October 15, 1938, the only child born to Peter and Mary R. Oleska Klash. Ed attended Saint Paul’s Catholic Grade School and graduated from Weir High School in 1956. He attended West Virginia University and was a veteran of the United States Army. Ed nourished his faith at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. An avid fisherman and hunter, Ed retired from the Wire Gang at Weirton Steel in 1993. In 2006 he met the love of his life, Ruth Anne Foutty. They enjoyed their life together dancing, traveling, and enjoying family time with his stepchildren, Debbie (Rick) Lamb, Clara DeMarco, Jeff (Dawna) Little and Leslee Little (Joe Gurrera) and the grandkids. He is also survived by his cousins, Bob and Lorraine Drelick, Bill and Sheila Tompos, Karen (Shawn) Dulaney, Kathy Bertha and their children, and many cousins, friends; and his co-parented dog, Rocky Blier Sadly, his stepson, Oren Gregory Little preceded him in death on February 27, 2022. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM on Monday at Saint Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Monsignor Joseph Peterson will preside. Interment will follow at Saint Paul’s Cemetery.   1. Gail Litten : I’m very sorry for your loss. Ed and I were close friends all thru high school. He attended my wedding. We lost touch after that but I often thought about the good times we shared. He was a good friend and I will miss him.

I remember Ed when I first met him at the general office building very nice man and respectful man to we always talk about hunting and fishing stories and just in the last two months I seen him at Walmart it’s been years sense I seen him and we were talking about hunting and fishing stories again it was so nice to see him again always respectful very nice and a great man too may u r.i.p Ed and may u run with the deer and the fish u were a great person to me I was honor to met u again
