Edward “Ed” Michael Walker, age 45, passed away at home on August 30, 2026, after an extended illness.
Born on February 9, 1981, in Oklahoma City, OK, he was the son of Denise Marovich Holloway.
Ed graduated from Weir High School in 1999 and served his country proudly in the United States Army. He was employed as a steelworker for Value Added Processing in Pittsburgh.
Ed’s commitment to hard work was matched only by his love for the outdoors, often spending his days and nights fishing and camping, relaxing in those times whenever the opportunity presented itself.
Ed was a loyal supporter of the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Ohio State Buckeyes. His interests extended into music; he had an eclectic taste and often spent hours analyzing songs, passionately discussing the artist’s intentions and meanings behind the lyrics.
Above all, Ed held a special place in his heart for his two beloved sons, Logan and Nicholas, who were his pride and joy. He took immense pleasure in traveling to various destinations in Florida and Colorado, creating lasting memories. Some of his most cherished moments were those spent during his time in the Army, particularly in the beautiful landscapes of Fort Carson, Colorado.
Ed was also blessed with several lifelong friendships that played an integral role throughout his life, standing by his side through thick and thin.
He was the type of man to do anything for his friends and those in need. He never met a stranger. Ed also had an immense love of animals, being a pet parent over the years to a cat, a dog, two turtles, and a tarantula.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Logan and Nicholas Walker, and their mother, Stacy Walker; his brother Wesley (Brittani) Holloway and sister Sara (Coty) Moore.
Ed’s request for cremation will be honored.
He will be cremated at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV.

Ed was such a great and friendly guy. I feel immense sadness that he is no longer here and wish I had one more chance to see him out somewhere and say Fast Eddie or what’s up Ed again.
