Edward J. Stuart, Jr.

Edward J. Stuart, Jr., 77, of Weirton, WV, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017, at Valley Hospice Care Center West in Steubenville, OH with his family by his side. Born November 26, 1939, in Steubenville, OH, he was a son of the late Edward J. Stuart, Sr. and Isabelle Fisher Stuart. He is also preceded in death by his brother Harley Fisher of Orlando, FL, who passed away Thursday, May 25, 2017. After 35 years of service, Edward retired from Weirton Steel. He was a Baptist by faith, enjoyed watching western shows and movies and was an avid fan of Amos n Andy. Edward is survived by his wife Ila Cooper Stuart; son Michael Stuart (Terri) of Spring, TX; daughters Robin L. Hill (James) of Weirton, Lori Alfieri of Jersey City, NJ and Chelsea Stuart of Weirton, WV; sister Ann Marie; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Per Edwards request, there will be no visitation and private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to Valley Hospice, 10686 State Route 150, Rayland, OH 43943.
