Elizabeth H. Lipan

Elizabeth H. Lipan, 90, of Weirton died Friday January 21, 2005, at the Weirton Medical Center. She was born on September 29, 1914 in Sydney Mines Nova Scotia Cape Bretion Islands. to the late Henri and Esther O’Toole Rateau . She was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph S. Lipan on April 11, 2002. Her daughter, Elizabeth J. LeMasters; her two brothers, James and Fred Rateau; her five sisters, Edith Murray, Doris Porter, Margaret Bailey, Georgina Hovista, and Alice Mehall also preceded her in death. Elizabeth was a homemaker and a member of Saint Paul Roman Catholic Church, AARP, and Three Score Senior Citizens. She is survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Thomas (Jackie) Fijewski and Mrs. Robert (Patty) Harvey both of Weirton, WV; two brothers, John Rateau of Weirton and Angus Rateau of Eustis, FL, WV; seven grandchildren, Timothy and Shari Fijewski; Daniel and Gary LeMasters, Teri Jo Hale, Matthew Harvey and Cari Morgan; and five great grandchildren, Delaney, Drew, Drake, Cory, and Kristy LeMasters. Visitation will be 1-3 & 7-9 PM Sunday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 AM Monday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weirton. Burial will be at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.
