Elizabeth V. Tognocchi

Elizabeth V. Tognocchi, 89, of Weirton, passed away Tuesday, July 22, 2008 in the Acuity Specialty Hospital, Steubenville, OH. Born November 14, 1918 in Meadowbrook, WV, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Emma Concetta Biafora. Elizabeth was also preceded in death by her daughter Patricia Kotrady, grandson Vincent Kotrady, brothers Joseph and Albert Biafora and sisters Mary Salerio, Louise Fragale and Stella Bogdon.
Elizabeth was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Christian Mothers.
Mrs. Tognocchi is survived by her husband Alfred Tognocchi of Weirton; son Art Pollace of Lost Creek, WV; daughter Cecelia Bowyer of West Milford, WV; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 1PM Friday at St. Joseph the Worker Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Father Dean Borgmeyer will officiate. Entombment will be in St. Paul Cemetery.
