Emily V. Kirzyc

Emily V. Kirzyc, 90, of Weirton, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2009 at her daughter’s home in Irwin, PA. Born June 29, 1919 in Wheeling, WV, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Katherine Sulek Zwierzchowski. She was also preceded in death by her husband Frank Kirzyc, brother Felix Zwierzchowski and sister Anastasia Majewski.
Mrs. Kirzyc was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and was a member of the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church.
Emily is survived by her son Phillip Kirzyc and his wife Valerie of Pittsburgh, PA; daughter Sharon Ernzer and her husband Boyd of Irwin, PA; grandchildren Emily Mains and her husband Jared, Greg and Amanda Ernzer and Sean and Stacie Kirzyc; one great-grandson Aaden and sister-in-law Mary Zwierzchowski of Weirton.
Friends will be received Wednesday 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10AM Thursday at the Sacred Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Kent Durig will officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton.

Dear Phil and Sharon, I was so sad to see that your mom passed away. I just loved her. She was the sweetest woman! I took care of her in Home Health but recently worked on the 8th floor so I was able to see her the last 2 times she was in. She thought the world of both of you and your families.
