Emmaretta Louise Risher

Emmaretta Louise (Branson) Risher, 90, of Weirton, died Thursday, June 19, 2003 at the West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh. She was born March 31, 1913 in Davenport, Iowa, daughter of the late Frank and Sarah Rice Branson. Emmaretta was also preceded in death by her husband Donald V. Risher July 2, 1988; son, Donald B. Risher May 31, 1989 and four brothers, Donald, Waldo, Robert and Aubrey Branson. Emmaretta was the retired co-owner of Risher Home Improvements and a secretary for Weirton Tire and Auto. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church and was the former secretary of ECW-St. Elizabeth’s Guild. She is survived by her son, Jack Risher and his wife Eleanor of Toledo, OH; daughter, Lynn L. Bish and her husband Carl of Weirton; brother, Harry Branson of Davenport, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7:00-9:00PM and Sunday from 1:00-3:00 and 7:00-9:00PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton. Funeral services will be held 11:00AM Monday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Rev. Larry Jackson presiding. Burial will be at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee.
