Ethel M. Strope

Ethel M. Strope, 89, of Weirton died Sunday, December 14, 2003, at the Weirton Geriatric Center.
She was born on December 14, 1914, in Bulger, PA, the daughter of the late John and Ellen (Cochran) Stiffler.
Ethel was also preceded in death by her husband, William J. Strope, Sr., on November 17, 1989; a son, William J. Strope, Jr. in 1976; a grandson, John Strope, in 1990; a brother, and 4 sisters.
She was a homemaker, and a member of the First Christian Church, in Weirton.
Ethel is survived by her two sons, Robert P. Strope and his wife Nancy of Burgettstown, PA, and Donald W. Strope, and his wife Linda of Mount Vernon, OH; a daughter Barbara A. Gum , and her husband Kerth of New Cumberland, WV; 8 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren; 4 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 PM Monday and 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday at the Greco Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main Street Weirton.
Funeral Services will be held 11 AM Wednesday in the Funeral Home.
Rev. Kevin Bowers will preside.
Interment will follow at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

We were so sorry to hear of your loss. I’ll always remember her Sunday School class! She was a very sweet lady and she’ll be sadly missed!
