Ethel Mae Guz, 81, of Valdosta, Georgia, formerly of Weirton, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman, GA, after a long illness. Ethel Mae was born in Colliers, WV on June 23, 1921, daughter of the late Pietro and Anna Marie Wolfe Carbasho. Her husband, Thomas Guz, preceded her in death. She was a member of the St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Weirton. Ethel Mae is survived by son John T. Guz of Valdosta, GA; two daughters, Kathryn Ingersoll and her husband John of Virginia Beach, VA and Geraldine Tustin and her husband Edmund of Valdosta, GA; brother Peter Carbasho of Beech Bottom, WV and sisters Violet Jane Martin and Edith P. Calfo both of Follansbee, WV; grandchildren Aaron Doyle of Montgomery, PA, Monica Doyle-Nelson of Valdosta, GA, Alison Emery of Lake Park, GA, Christopher Ingersoll of Virginia Beach, VA, Miranda Blankenship of Harrington, DE and Joshua Guz; great-grandchildren Brittney Nelson of Valdosta, GA, Thomas Emery of Lake Park, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, November 28 at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV between the hours of 7:00 – 9:00PM. Funeral services will be celebrated at 11:00AM on Friday, November 29 with Father Larry Dean Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Hills Memorial Gardens in Follansbee, WV.
