Guestbook

  1. MR. MARK AND FAMILY, SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE PASSING OF UR WIFE, MOTHER AND GRANDMA, SHE WAS A VERY NICE WOMAN. SHE IS IN GOD’S HANDS NOW, HE WILL TAKE CARE OF HER. MIKE, DEE SABOL AND FAMILY

  2. Blessed are those who mourn; they shall be comforted. Mt5:4. I have gotten to know Ethel this past year when I was visiting my grandmother, Mary, at Weirton Geriactric Center. We shared memories of both our families. Ethel laughed one day when I came to visit with a bump on my head from sled riding. Every visit I would pass in the hallway this verse: Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on our hearts, And we are never ever the same. Before my mom’s passing, she would visit with Ethel and they would pray together. This next verse was found in my mother’s papers: I’m Free Don’t grieve for me, For now I’m free. I’m following the path God has laid you see. I took His Hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. I could not stay another day. to laugh, to love, to work or play. Tasks left undone must stay that way. I found that peace at the close of the day. If my parting has left a void, then fill it with remembered joys. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes these things I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much. Good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and peace to thee. God wanted me now; He set me free! Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord: and let perpetual Light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

We got many sympathy notes, but from the “MARK” family, came a book with a satin ribbon which brought our attention to a writing on page 91. MOST OF ALL THE OTHER BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN LIFE COME BY TWOS AND THREE, BY DOZENS AND HUNDREDS. PLENTY OF ROSES, STARS, SUNSETS RAINBOWS, BROTHERS, SISTERS, AUNTS AND COUSINS. “BUT ONLY ONE MOTHER IN THE WHOLE WORLD.” Now,as then, you are in OUR every thought & prayers. May wonderful memories ease the sorrow & the love of family & friends help you through this most difficult time. She was a beautiful person, a joy to know & will be missed by everyone whose life she touched. We can all take comfort in knowing there is one more angel above watching over us. 11. Although I have not seen your loving wife and mother in a number of years, my eldest sister, Yvonne, has kept me informed of every visit she made with your mother at the Geriatric Center. Ethel was a sweet lady and woman of faith that truly loved her husband and family. It was always a joy and a pleasure to encounter any of you from the Mark family from my early years through interactions at St. Mary’s (Passion Play, May Crownings, Summer Religion classes, Liturgies, etc.) to more recent years when I had ministered at St. Paul’s. Please know that I share in your grief and loss. More importantly know that I hold you in heartfelt prayerful support. Funny as it may sound, I often still wonder if Adam will be a priest one day?! Sincerely, Stan
