Eugene "Gino" Guglielmo
May 30, 1940 ~ November 4, 2020
Eugene “Gino” Guglielmo, 80, of Weirton, WV passed away on November 4, 2020.
Eugene was born on May 30, 1940, in Weirton, the youngest of three sons born to Antonio “Tony” and Helen S. Ruffolo Guglielmo. Eugene grew up in Weirton and made Weirton his home. He graduated in the first graduating class at Madonna High School in 1959. Following graduation, he served his country for two years in the United States Army.
After returning to Weirton, Gino worked in Weirton Steel in the Labor Gang. A job he did day in and day out for 30 years to provide for his family. Gino’s love was not working in the mill. He had more of an entrepreneurial spirit. He owned and operated his pizza shop, Naples Pizzeria, and was ahead of his time when he opened up the first bicycle shop in Weirton, Spinning Spokes.
Gino was in constant motion. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, skiing, and scuba diving. Routine trips to the gym and working on his Katas was part of his everyday life. He enjoyed carrying on his family tradition of having picnics on the weekends with his family.
Gino will always be remembered for his uniqueness, honesty, dedication, and his outgoing nature.
In addition to his parents, Gino was preceded in death by his brothers, Sam and John.
He is survived by his sons, Eugene and Mark (Misty); his daughter, Darla; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Cristiano, Tricia Mia, and Mark, Jr.; Misty’s daughter, Lilly his girlfriend, Cindy Salopek, and her daughter and her granddaughter, Shauna and Milauna.
Private visitation and funeral will be held on Saturday at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home 3219 Main

Sorry for your loss
A lifetime of memories from baby sitting and burning the popcorn, to Aunt Pat helping out at Spinning Spokes , to the 007 band playing on the rooftop of pizza shop, to your dressing as Santa and stopping in to bring me presents , to knowing my uncle held a black belt in karate, you were one of a kind, always respectful and loving to myself and family , you will be missed but I know you are at peace in a heavenly place
To the Guglielmo Family: Prayers for family and friends. Gino always had a smile for everyone he saw! I’ll always remember him on his Harley.
Guglielmo Family: I am so very sorry for your loss. I met Gino 30+ yrs ago and use to tease him how I remembered him at the Donofe Reunions when I was just a kid….he would show up all tanned and that thick black perfect combed hair! I think my mom (Ann Whitehead) and he became friends at some point when she did taxes and they would just laugh & laugh when they’d run into each other; he was always such a gentleman and MAN! how he took care of his mom, huh? I will keep all of you in my prayers. Weirton, I know, misses seeing your dad riding his bike. Another good soul that can rest peacefully now.

Gino,Mark and Darla, I was really sad to have heard of the passing of your father, I met him when I was 17 years old, and reconnected when I went to the gym about 15 years ago. He was a compassionate man, Kind , caring and the love he gave to his mother , was unbelievable. He loved his family very much and was proud of them.He brightened the day, when he would stop in at the office for a small chat. I extend my deepest sympathy to all of you and may God give you the peace and strength for each day. He would always mention how good his kids were to him. God Bless Joann Shorac
May your fathers love remain beautiful as this oak tree represents.
Condolences from the Marino Family.
Sorry to hear that your dad died. I knew he struggled, along with each of you, over the past several years. He is now at peace.
Gino, I just saw that your father passed. I still remember holding the heavy bag for your dad and how his kicks were so powerful they picked a fat 6th grader off the floor. He had such a soft spoken but strong voice. You have my condolences. John Kuntupis
