Eva Weaver West
November 8, 1933 ~ May 17, 2006
Eva Weaver West, 72, of Weirton, passed away Wednesday, May 17, 2006 at her home. Born November 8, 1933 in Mannington, WV, she was the daughter of the late James W. and Mabel M. Hayes Gill. Eva was also preceded in death by her son Terry Lee Gill.
With 33 years of service, Eva retired from Weirton Steel where she worked in the Janitorial Department. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the WSX 25-Year Club.
Eva’s survivors include her husband Harry H. West of Weirton; daughters Pamela M. Manley, Willika Smiar and her husband William all of Columbus, OH, Celeste C. Goff and Paul Wentz of Colliers and Mya Gill of Weirton; step-daughter Carrie Cowdin and her husband Denny of Wellsville, KS and step-son Harry West, Jr. and his wife Stacie of Albuquerque, NM; sisters Florence Baldwin of Georgetown, PA, Wilma Paytors of New Cumberland and Barbara Goodman of Georgetown, PA; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday from 2-4 and 6-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where funeral services will be conducted at 11AM Saturday. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Colliers.
