Evelyn Jean Barnhart

Evelyn Jean Barnhart of Colliers passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020, at the Sienna Woods Nursing and Rehab; she was 85 years old. Evelyn was born June 6, 1935, in Fayette County, PA., a daughter of the late Jacob and Elizabeth Tiernan Axton; she was also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Barnhart, who passed away in 2002, brothers Russell and Hermon Axton, and sisters Ellie Namie and Virginia Yakims. Evelyn was a natural caregiver, working for the Greenery Skilled Care Nursing Facility as a Nurse’s Aide. She spent her time attending bowling tournaments, raising her kids, and always in her mind, the family was the essential part of her life. Left to cherish his memory are her son, Jack (Mary) Okorn of Atlasburg, PA., daughters Barbara (Pete) Error of Colliers, Deborah (Jim) Antonich fo Burgettstown, PA., grandchildren, Brandon (Regina) Evans, Brent (Nikki) Evans both of Weirton, Brody Evans of Colliers, Zachary Okorn, Dejanira Okorn, Rachel Charlier and Jordan Charlier all of Washington, PA., great-grandchildren Neelah and Damian Evans, Dominic Wlodrski, and Chase Okorn, brother, Frank Axton of Belle Vernon, PA., sisters Dolores Redmond of Monongahela, PA., Rachel Stevens of Lowber, PA., Lillian Kepsel of California, PA., The family’s request for cremation has been honored. Respecting Evelyn’s wishes, no memorial service will be conducted.
