my earliest memories of mr. maki were the close ties with my grandparents, fred & sylvi ollila. they treasured him and so did i. your loss is our loss too! a great finn.
My heart goes out to the Maki family at this time of sorrow and grief. Some of my fondest memories of Evert are the time I sharing Easter Dinner with Evert and Virginia at Pat & Tom’s home a couple years ago. I also was pleased to be present to witness Evert and Virginia participating in the wedding ceremony for Patricia and Tom. My memories of the wedding reception of Evert and Virginia and Pat and Evert dancing come to mind often. God be with your family this week and the days to follow while your hearts mend. Your family will be in my prayers. My Deepest Sympathy, Barbara Brown

Dear Mrs. Maki, I did not know your husband, but my father, Harley (Skip) Lawrence knew him. Mr. Maki was so kind to me when my father died in October of 200l. He was a part of the military funeral for my Dad and he came to visit at the funeral home. Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your beloved husband.; Sincerely, Barbara Trushel
Hi Virginia and Family, Terry and I were saddened when we read about Evert”s passing. What a gentleman he was and how loyal he was to his Veteran experiences. We always will remember he marched so proudly at almost every parade in Weirton. Take Care and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. Blessings, Jan and Terry
