Frances F. Gaydos, 89, of Weirton, died Sunday, April 03, 2005 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. She was born December 16, 1915 in Petturano, Sulglzo, Italy, a daughter of the late Dan and Elizabeth Cercone. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew W. Gaydos, whom she married October 16, 1935; son-in-law, Raymond J. Washam; brother, Victor Cercone; and sisters, Peggy Dragnac, Annie Maychek, Helen Hammock, Mary Jane Springer, and Josephine Main. Frances was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. She was a very loving and caring person who watched over her family and friends. Frances is survived by one son, Jack A. Gaydos and his wife Darlene of New Cumberland, WV; one daughter, Shirley A. Washam of Weirton; one grandson, Keith M. Gaydos of New Cumberland; and many nieces and nephews from Ohio and Florida. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, where a Parastas Service will be held at 8 PM. Blessing Services will be held 12:30 PM Wednesday at the funeral home followed by 1 PM funeral services at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. Ed Lucas will preside. Burial will follow at St. Paul Cemetery, Weirton. Memorial donations may be made to St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church, 3116 Elm Street, Weirton, WV 26062.   5. My dear friend Shirley, I am so sorry to read about your Mom’s passing. What a lovely lady and so kind to all she was. Even after not seeing her for several years, she remembered me when we saw you two out. When I lived on Elm Street, she and your dad use to go to Bobalick’s next door to play cards.
