Frances Klaric

Frances Klaric, 97, of Weirton, passed away Monday, December 29, 2014 in the Weirton Medical Center. Born May 21, 1917 in Weirton, she was a daughter of the late Gaetano "Guy" and Maria "Mary" Frankina Gazia. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Norene "Pippy" Spear, brothers Anthony Gazia, who was killed in World War II, Joseph Robert Gazia and 5 infant brothers, sisters Theresa J. Veltri, Connie Ceraolo and Lena Ann McFadden. For 25 years, Frances worked in the Janitorial Department for Weirton Steel. She was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church. She took pride in her home and enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. Frances is survived by her daughter Valerie Cain and her husband Glenn of Colliers, WV; sisters JoAnn Mikita of Steubenville, OH, Mariam "Babe" Salerno and Yolanda (Lolly) Kraft both of Weirton; grandchildren Crystal Maruhnich and her husband Mark and Rebecca Butler and great-grandchildren Ava and Lilly Maruhnich. Visitation will be held Thursday 5-8PM at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, 3219 Main Street, Weirton, WV. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10AM Friday at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Larry Dorsch officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Cemetery.
